the 9to5
Sparkly
I started this blog in my freshman year of high school because I feared what the adults in my life called the "9 to 5", the whole notion of trading yourself, your dreams, your goals for a sense of stability and routine by becoming just another cog in the machine.

So I thought: if this is what my life ever comes to... I can at least try my best and preserve this sense of... individuality, for lack of better word. Preserve a piece of that little girl who had dreams and big ideas. Thus, the Sparkly 9 to 5 was born.

As I've grown up, my opinions on the "9 to 5" office job have certainly shifted and changed (she's not the worstest enemy out there like 15-year old me had thought... though I can't tell if I'm just saying this because I have now turned into one of the adults I feared becoming as a kid).
Nonetheless, the idea for the Sparkly 9 to 5 remains the same. A space devoted to my own personal projects - not the company's, not the management's - my own. A space where I can sparkle up the old routine.
