So Here I Am!

Hello shining lovelies!

I'm Elyssa and welcome to Project Elyssa!

For a while now, whenever people ask me "What do you like to do in your free time kiddo?" or "What's your hobby?" or "Do you know what you're going to do in your future?"... or anything that borderlines that, I never seem to have the perfect answer. How do I put "I like to draw comic strips.. but sometimes I like making old '20s silent movies and film commercials.. and I also like editing a fake fashion magazine (almost as if I were Anna Wintour or something) - but sometimes, it's a home decor catalog instead.. Oh - and I also like to take pictures" in short?

The thing was... I realized that I didn't have a specific passion-passion for any one of those... they change every other day. I just knew I liked to do... fun things.

The best word I could use to group them together was "projects," ("projecting" being the verb form).

So here I am! Sharing you my ever-changing hobbies.

My blog will generally be grouped into three broad categories: fashion, projects, and lifestyle.

Fashion because it is the most constant, I believe, in this realm of projects.

Projects because well, pretty sure I explained it roughly up there. It'll be all the miscellaneous activities in between.

And finally, lifestyle, because what more inspiring and motivating for projects than the way one handles their life? This will be reserved for all the miscellaneous moments in between all... that. ↑

My previous blog, The 9 to 5, was a lifestyle blog emphasizing the small, seemingly-insignificant ways to sparkle up one's tedious, ole routines. The motto was “Make your day a little more than just the typical 9-to-5. Here’s to enjoying the 24/7.”

And I'm hoping the motto will still be that as I continue my journey on a new platform. After all, 'projecting' is simply making fuller use of your typical 9-to-5.

With that said, even though I will continue to keep that blog up (for sentimental reasons), I might be reposting several entries there to here every now and then.

Goodbye for now. :) "Here's to enjoying the 24/7."
