Got Inspo?

Sorry for the lame title. As you can see, I got no inspo when it comes to blog post titles.

... but I sure got an inspiration 'bubble machine' when it comes to anything else thanks to...

Haha! That was my best attempt at providing a somewhat smooth transition into my blog post topic... I hope you didn't cringe too much. (Because I did... but I got nothing better than that.)

Good evening friends,

How are you all doing on these fine few autumn days? October's treating me real good this past week, with this sudden wave of inspiration and motivation washing over me again. With that, comes the motivation for blogging of course haha!

Although some of you may remember my 'Mood Boarding' post from back in April... I'm not gonna lie, I never actually finished that project until late July (around when I started this blog), haha! If you know me personally though, this comes as no surprise - oops! #procrastinationlife But anyways, these were my final products and I am rather happy with them.

If you read the Mood Board entry pt.1, you might recall me mentioning the 2 different approaches for mood boarding; You can do a "whole general inspiration board" or a board geared towards one specific project.

The first one is just my overall mood board. For this one, I wanted to gather everything (that I could find in the magazines - which was hard because my family doesn't subscribe to any magazines lol) that made me giddy and excited inside. Things that make me feel butterflies erupting in my stomach and excited to get out of bed. For me, that's anything to do with a nice clear, sunny day; Sunday morning breakfasts; and an adventurous stroll in the city (whatever city it may be... low-key port cities or bustling NYC!!). I thought the final product captured it pretty nicely... and of course I had to add in some fave street style outfits!

For the second one, I wanted to try out a mini inspiration board for one specific project (maybe like a fashion collection or photography or travel). Obviously, I didn't have a specific project of mine exactly to make it for, but I wanted it to be more... themed. The mood I was going for, for this one, was Roman Holiday. I feel okay about this one as the green color scheme on the top right as kinda a spontaneous decision but... I'm pretty happy.

Let me know if you ever decide to try out these mood boards because I would love to check 'em out!

Also - if you don't have the materials to make a physical mood board... or are just lazy (it's okay me too a lot of times)... you can always make a virtual mood board. With this method, you are guaranteed to get more pictures to your loving (without having to go through the hassle of finding them in magazines or printing them out)! I would definitely recommend using Polyvore if you decide to try this out!

Personally, I prefer physically making one more because I find the thrill of the hunt far more exciting... but just throwing this option out there. :)
